Our Tutoring Service

In September 2020, we launched our service matching college students with working families to provide virtual academic support and childcare, offering relief for working caregivers in the form of free time.

We employ a sliding scale payment model, in an effort to prioritize accessibility in order to serve those hit hardest by the pandemic—low income working mothers.

Our service is free for any family that needs it. We have paired more than 200 families with upwards of 250 tutors and have interviewed around 550 prospective tutors from 75 different colleges and universities across the country. We pay our college students $15 an hour.

Reported outcomes include an additional 5-20 hours of free time weekly and decreased overwhelm for caregivers, as well as increased academic engagement, improved mental health, and improved grades for their children.
